Dancing in the rain--Where there is no sun to shine.
Thought I had a love
But I found out he wasn't mine.

On the soles of my feet.
Staring carefully,
At everyone I meet.

To the beat of my own drum.
Only a few know the story
About where I come from.

With a smile on my face.
I can still see the beauty,
While being in a monstrous place.Dancing in the rain--
Without any shoes.
Pouring my heart out,
What else is there to do?

With a weight on my shoulder.
I feel the pressure of the world,
As I'm slowly getting older.
Dancing in the rain--
To my own little groove.
I have to dance my heart out,
I have to make a move.
Dancing in the rain--
Watching the steps that I take.Holding onto God,
So my heart doesn't break.
Dancing in the rain--
May be an easy thing for you.
But always trying to stay strong
Is a hard thing to do.
