"Tears Are Loud, Fears Are Proud"

Tears--
Droplets running down her face.
Fears--
Surround her like a warm embrace.

Tears--
Water coming from her eyes.
Fears--
So crippling that they paralyze.

Tears--
So many she can taste the salt.
Fears--
So many she puts herself at fault.

Tears--
Running down her face like a stream.
Fears--
Keeping her from chasing her dream.

Tears--
Like a river, they keep on flowing.
Fears--
Traumatized her without her knowing.

Tears--
Constantly reminding her of her past.
Fears--
She wonders how long will this last.

"Blessed Be Her Heart"

Blessed be her heart--
For it always breaks.
Blessed be heart--
For she can't let go of her mistakes.

Blessed be her heart--
For she always tries.
Blessed be her heart--
For she always cries.

Blessed be her heart--
For she was true.
Blessed be her heart--
For all she's been through.

Blessed be her heart--
For when she doesn't feel okay.
Blessed be her heart--
For all the mean things that she say.

Blessed be her heart--
For when she is rude.
Blessed be her heart--
For when she has an attitude.

Blessed be her heart--
For when she prays.
Blessed be her heart--
For when she has bad days.

Blessed be her heart--
For her pain never ceases.
Blessed be her heart--
While her value increases.

"Better Things Happen"

They say better things happen--
When things fall apart.
I'm just trying to fix a void--
That's been placed on my heart.

I'm just praying for a smile--
To return to my face.
I'm just waiting for everything--
To fall back into place.

Seems like a road block--
In every direction.
But I know that I'll be fine--
I'm under God's protection.

They say it will take time--
But I'm tired of waiting.
I'm on the edge of my seat--
Anticipating.

They say things could get worse--
But they can be better.
Writing to my future self--
In a handwritten letter.

Nobody said it would be easy--
Life is sometimes hard.
So, I spread my love and hope--
Inside of every card.

Praying for things to change--
Holding on to hope.
Maybe one day--
I'll learn how to cope.

In the meantime--
I'll just hope for the best.
In the meantime--
I'll just pray to pass this test.
