Suppose I wrote a poem--Based on fact and fiction.
And tried to sound it out--
With the perfect diction.
Suppose I wrote a poem--
Based on a truth and a lie.
Would you want to read it?
If so, tell me why.
Suppose I wrote a poem--
And based it on heartbreak.
Would you open your heart up?
Or write it off as a mistake?
Suppose I wrote a poem--
Based off a story.
Would you want to read it?Because this is starting to bore me.
Suppose I wrote a poem--
Based on a fairy tale.
Would you even read it?
Would it even sell?
Suppose I wrote a poem--
Just to write.
Because it's therapeutic in a way--
And it makes things all right.
